Golfball is by Grenadier who is well-known for producing outstanding sporthorses for the Olympic disciplines. Grenadier himself finished the stallion performance test second as a Class 1 Stallion. His breeding value index for dressage is 22 out of more than 1500 stallions. He sired 17 approved sons, among them is the Olympic team gold medalist in dressage Golfstrom I in Seoul '88. Grenadier's sire Grunewald sired the Olympic dressage horse Grunnox, the team gold medalist; in the Olympics in Atlanta '96. Grand, the sire of Grunewald, the great grand sire of Golfball, sired exceptional sporthorses for the Olympic disciplines. For the international dressage competitions he sired Galapagos, Grande Giso Gute Sitte, Grande and Graciosa. They all were the top Grand Prix horse in Germany for years.

Golfball's dam line is of equal importance. His dam's sire, Lachs, is an offspring of the wonderful foundation Trakehner stallion line Lateran. Lachs, by Lateran, out of a dam by Goldfisch II, has interesting line breeding on the stallion Goldfisch II with the sire line. Grenadier traces back to the foundation sire Goldfisch II as well. This Trakehner line also produced the international Grand Prix jumper Lavendel who placed fourth in the individual in the Olympics in Munich 1972, ridden by Hugo Simon.

Golfball's third generation of pedigree includes the thoroughbred stallion Marcio xx, who is considered one the best thoroughbred stallions in the warmblood breeding program ever. Marcio xx sired international dressage horses such as Marzio ridden by Inge Theodorescu, Mazepa ridden by E. Pracht, Ma Griffe ridden by Bubi Gunther. Marcio xx sired his own stallion line with Marconi, Milan, Matrose, Marmor, Maat, and Monaco. They all have a very positive influence in the warmblood breeding program today.

Golfball has a pedigree for the world wide breeding program and it has proven itself throughout the generations of sporthorses on international show grounds. Golfball completed the 11 month stallion test. However, due to an injury did not have a riding career. Golfball is an elegant stallion with an exceptional disposition and impeccably bred for dressage.

Gala (the 2003 Hanoverian filly by Golfball out of Taenzerin) has been started under saddle and is doing very well. Mary Clayes (FEI trainer) just loves her attitude. Gala was top filly at the Hanoverian foal inspection at Honey Locust Farm in 2003.
